Amy Austin 91.3 KGLY Mornings
The History Channel is airing the “Jesus: His Life” in the weeks leading up to Easter beginning Monday, March 25. The series is co-produced by Joel Osteen, the pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston.
The series will focus on the perspective of biblical figures that surrounded Christ, such as Joseph, Mary, Caiaphas, Judas Iscariot, and Peter.
The series will be less about preaching and more about showing what life was like for people during the time of Christ. The movie is more about the culture and the setting at that time. The story will also include different perspectives making it really well-rounded.
Anybody can be inspired by the life of Christ and what he brought — forgiveness, love, respect, redemption, second chances. That is what we all need in life.
The project is not a preaching series. It’s for everybody to learn about the most important man that ever lived. Jesus was somebody that not only changed the culture. He is the only One who changes our eternities.
