MercyMe is an award-winning Christian music group with arguably the most popular Christian song ever released. “I Can Only Imagine,” the song, debuted in 2001, followed by the movie premier March 16, 2018. The movie follows the life of MercyMe’s lead singer Bart Millard, who grew up in a severely troubled home with an abusive father.

This song has so much attachment to so many around the world. The heartfelt lyrics hit home with so many.

In fact, my older brother Jeffrey and I bonded even more because of this band and this song in particular.

My brother died at his home at the age of 45. I was heartbroken, and frankly, quite puzzled. As a Christian, I knew He was with the Father, but I was devastated for myself and even more for my precious parents.

I suspect most of you consider this song your favorite song. It’s mine. This new version of “I Can Only Imagine” is different, but keep in mind that the lyrics and the message are the same!
