August 1st Evening Show Recap

Before we get down to going over the bits and tidbits talked about during the show tonight, I just can’t help but sharing this verse that never ceases to lift me up:

“May you grasp how wide and long and high and deep Mu love for you is; a love that surpasses knowledge…you cannot ask or imagine the things I am planning for you.” Ephesians 3:16-21

A love that knows no end, a love that gave over a life to save yours and mine. It’s amazing to know that no matter how many mess-ups we make in our life, He still loves us. Now, there may be more physical proof of that ultimate sacrifice 2000 years ago. Archaeologists in Turkey believe they’ve unearthed a piece of the cross Jesus was crucified on!! It was found in a stone chest at the site of a 1,300 year old church. More tests will be done they’ve stated.

*Even though it’s yummy and makes some great burgers for the grill, there’s been a recall on 50,000 pounds of ground beef because of possible E. coli contamination. It has the establishment number 208A inside the USDA mark of inspection.

*Heading into town tomorrow, the Digital Age (who was the band part of the David Crowder Band) will be playing Dayspring church from 7-9pm. For more information about this or any other event this weekend, always take a glance at the Events Calendar on the front page. Here‘s a little snippet of the guys

*It could be the break students going to college need! Congress has officially a-okay’d lower student loan rates, pushing them down to 3.9% from 6.8%. The downfall: plan for the rates to rise as the economy gets better. Right now though, a sigh of relief is in order.
